It's time we had a new skate park in Tewkesbury

Press Release

It’s time we had a new skate park in Priors Park!

The teenagers of Tewkesbury have decided to make a stand and try to get a new Skate Park for Priors Park. Braiden Fellows and his friends are driving this new idea to the next stage. Braiden posted a status on Tewkesbury Noticeboard asking for help to start a petition to get a new skate park. At present, they are unable to use the small skatepark in Oldfield, due to older teenagers using it as a base to use illegal substances. The Pump 17 committee have gone the extra mile trying to keep the piece of land tidy and clean but when they return, it’s cluttered with litter again. They have now set up a Facebook page ‘Pump 17 Skate Park Youth Committee’ and are in the process of setting up a website to get more people aware of their idea.

Braiden Fellows said ‘We try to ride as much as possible but it’s very hard as there are so many teenagers who take illegal substances on the ramp. The skate park is also very worn down and is very slippery’.

Braiden and his friends have been in talks with ‘Heart of Priors Park’ regarding their idea and the committee will work with the teenagers to drive this forward.
